For the 2024-2025 ice skating season, Glass City Metropark is introducing Bocce on Ice at The Ribbon—a unique winter activity where curling meets bocce ball. Whether you’re planning a night out with friends, a family gathering, or a team-building event, Bocce on Ice offers a fun and interactive way to enjoy the season.

What is Bocce on Ice?
Bocce on Ice is a winter twist on the classic game of bocce, played on an icy surface. Using special Dysks, players slide their pieces toward the Jack (target ball), aiming to land closest or knock opponents’ Dysks away. Points are awarded based on proximity to the Jack, and the first team to score 12 points wins.
It’s easy to learn, fun to play, and guaranteed to bring some laughs and competition to your winter outing.
Where to Play Bocce on Ice
Bocce on Ice is hosted at The Pond area of The Ribbon in Glass City Metropark. While ice skaters enjoy the scenic skating trail, Bocce on Ice players can enjoy this exclusive activity in a designated area, creating a lively atmosphere for everyone.
Court Schedule for January and February
Courts will be available for reservations on:
• Monday – Wednesday Evenings
• Session 1: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
• Session 2: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Additional dates or times may be added, so keep an eye on Glass City Metropark’s schedule for updates.
Court Rental Details
• Cost: $80 per court for a 1.5-hour session
• Capacity: Up to 8 players per court (16 players total for both courts)
• Larger Groups: For bigger groups, it’s recommended to book both courts or multiple sessions.
Planning a special event? Private Bocce on Ice rentals are available outside the standard schedule. Simply submit a Special Event/Activity Permit Request and select “Ice Bocce Rental” to reserve your spot.
