Yesterday, my daughter and I went see the newest Cirque Du Soleil show, Amaluna. It would be a first Cirque Du Soleil show for both of us. I was glad to have experienced it with her. As we approached the blue and yellow tents anticipation rose to what we were about to see. If I had to describe these very skilled performers in one word, it would be AMAZING! I enjoyed every single performance. To top it off the show is composed of a 70 percent female cast as well as an all female band!
My favorite part of the show was the when the main character, Miranda performs a routine in and around a giant bowl of water. She does a series of handstands and backbends that left you wondering if she even had a spine. She was very flexible to say the least. It was a beautiful routine
Amaluna is a prefect mix of theater and circus. Celebrating their 30th anniversary, it is truly a show not to miss.
