Toledo’s Creative Community Shines at the 2023 Momentum Festival

Friday night, Toledo enjoyed the festivities at the 2023 Momentum Festival. The annual event showcased the talent and creativity of local artists, writers, and performers in a vibrant and interactive setting. Festival attendees enjoyed amazing artwork, listened to live music, enjoyed poetry readings, and more at this annual event that celebrated the arts and culture of Toledo.

The festival took place in downtown Toledo on N. Superior St., between Madison Ave. and Adams St., and in the historic Garner building. This location offered both indoor and outdoor spaces for attendees to explore and enjoy. The festival organizers chose this space to create a sense of density, focus, and intimacy, using the city’s fabric and architecture as a backdrop for artistic expression.

One of the highlights of the festival was the Local Artist Exhibition Program, which provided venues for shared experiences and connection for our local artists. We viewed their works in various formats, such as installations, projections, performances, and more. There was also an opportunity to interact with the artists and learn more about their creative process and vision.

Another feature of the festival was the Anchor Art, which showcased large-scale, interactive, and spectacle artworks that surprised and delighted us. These artworks were placed throughout the event area, creating moments of discovery and wonder, and allowing guests to experience art in a new and unexpected way.

The 2023 Momentum Festival was a celebration of the arts and culture of Toledo. It was a chance to experience the creative energy of our city and connect with other art lovers.
