Sunday morning I got a phone call from a friend of mine asking if I could be at her house by 11am so we could get to The Farmer’s Daughter before brunch ended at 2:00. The Farmer’s Daughter is a farm to table restaurant in Chattanooga, Tennessee! Lol! I’ve never been, but my friend has and she loves it. After much deliberation we decide it’s a go! It was a beautiful day for an impromptu roadtrip.
We arrived just in time to be seated for brunch. Yay! It was really cute in side and the employees were very friendly. While we were waiting I ordered a Ginger Green Tea with Honey. It was very good. And come to find out, our waitress, Lauren, makes the loose leaf tea it was made from. I was very proud of her even though I didn’t know her. It was some good tea!
After a short wait we were seated. I immediately looked over the menu. Everything sounded delicious. I ordered the Blueberry Cornmeal Pancakes, Grits, Scrambled Eggs, and Hashbrowns. Yum! Everything was as I imagined. Delicious! Brunch was a success!
As we were leaving, we noticed that the employees were carrying plates of food outside and sitting at a long table on the patio. After the shift, they ate together. What a great way to boost moral in the workplace!
If you are visiting Chattanooga be sure to add The Farmer’s Daughter to your list of stops to make.
