Yes! And that exactly what the cast of Broadway Atlanta’s new show, The Sound of Music gave me. Life!! The Sound of Music has been one of my favorite movies since childhood so I was absolutely elated to see it opening night at The Fox Theatre.
The Sound of Music directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien. It tell the beautiful story of a free-spirted Maria and the Von Trapp Family. Last year marked the 50th anniversary of the film version and had continued to win the hearts of people young and old.
As cast members belted out songs like Climb Every Mountain and My Favorite Things, faces lit up throughout the theatre as memories of watching the movie in their home arose. I loved every bit of it. I was really happy to experience the performance with my eight year old daughter, Sage. She really enjoyed it!!
