A couple weeks ago, I was invited to Atlantic Station for their fall foodie crawl. I missed the Spring installment, so I was excited to be able to make it to this one. Since 2005, Atlantic Station has been know as a destination to get great food. Follow me as we visit four restaurants in Atlantic Station.
The Pig & the Pearl was the first stop on the Foodie Crawl. To start the tasting off we had their signature house Sangria, which is available every Sunday starting at 4pm for $5 a glass. It’s a great tasting Sangria so take advantage of this awesome deal. While we sipped on our cocktails, the food starting coming out. The most dramatic was the Buffalo Pork Rinds. I mean WOW! It came out all piled up on a plate. Kind of intense.
We also has their Oysters – Chico Teague’s from Chesapeake, Va. Very tasty! I could eat those all day! Next we tried the Springer Mountain Farms Smoked Chicken Wings with a bourbon hot sauce, smoked, glazed and grilled. Yummy!! On Wednesdays these tasty wings are just $1 each. You can bet you’ll see me on a Wednesday noshing on a plate full of these delicious wings!

The second stop on the Atlantic Station Foodie Crawl was Atlantic Grill. Here we tried a new cocktail, the Apple Explosion! And that is exactly what it was. The cocktail was made with Crown Apple, apple juice, apple sauce, topped with fresh apples. I really liked it, minus the applesauce though.
As one of the non-pork eaters in the group, I had the Smoked Salmon over a butternut squash puree with fried sage. I was very surprised at how delicious it was. Atlantic Grill offers a large selection of burgers, sandwiches, and salads. You are sure to find something that will catch your eye.
Next door was the location of stop #3, Chick-a-Biddy, where they offer farm fresh chicken. With that, we were presented with a nice warm, hearty Chicken Stew with Garlic Toast. The tasting also included Fried Okra and Jalapeños with Arugula Salad.
The final destination on this most fantastic foodie crawl was to Meehan’s Public House. Another restaurant I have not been to visit yet. It was also my favorite stop of the tour. Eventhough I could only partake in half of the spread, that half was pretty amazing. My absolute favorite was the Soft Baked H&F Artisan Pretzels that came with Harp & White Cheddar Fondue and house mustard. I really wish I had my own plate. They were that good! Can’t wait to go back and have a nice cold craft beer with them. Another tasty dish was the Ahi Tuna Bites with English cucumbers, pickled ginger, peppadew relish, and Sriracha. Join Meehan’s for Cocktail Hour from 4:00-7:00 every Monday through Thursday with select appetizers and handcrafted cocktails for only $5.
