Comfort Food Without the Discomfort
My mom is the queen of comfort food. Today she made one of my favorites but using a healthier method of cooking it. I’m a big fan of fried chicken wing, unfortunately all of that oil and grease comes with a price, which often includes heartburn, indigestion, and almost immediately regret. Fried chicken wings are one of many of my trigger foods. My mom recently got a brand new toy to add to her kitchen appliance collection that has helped her prepare healthier meals. She gifted herself an Air Fryer! She hasn’t deep-fried a chicken wing since then!
Mom’s Crispy Air fryer Chicken Wings
Ingredients
1 lb chicken wings split into flats and drummettes, rinsed
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp lemon pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Directions
Pat dry chicken wings and place in a mixing bowl.
Pour olive oil over chicken wings and mix to coat. Add garlic salt and lemon pepper and toss to evenly coat.
Place on Airfryer tray. Be sure to space them evenly on the trays.
Air fry for 8 minutes at 400 degrees per side or until the wings have reached the desired crispiness.
If you have an issue with heartburn after eating certain foods like chicken wings. Acidil by Boiron is a homeopathic medicine made with sustainably sourced, plant-based active ingredients that can help sooth acid indigestion so you can enjoy your favorite comfort food without the discomfort.

This week I enjoyed pizza night and taco night. Both meals are very triggering when it comes to heartburn. I took a couple of Acidil tablets and had great relief. The tablets are easy to take as they are meltaway tablets. So no need for water. Acidil may be taken before or after meals, whenever symptoms strike. It is appropriate for use by adults and children who are 12 and older; Acidil has no known drug interactions.

Mom also has heartburn pretty often and has used many products to relieve the symptoms. When I received Acidill to review I knew I want my mom to give it a try too. Here’s what she thought:
“I really liked this Acidil. It significantly calmed my heartburn, especially at night. I liked that the tablets were portable and melted in your mouth. The taste was pleasant. I’d recommend Acidil to anyone who has issues with heartburn.” Liz, age 72
