5 Benefits of PlusCBD Oil – A Moms Meet Review

*I received this product for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use and provide my honest opinion. Compensation for this post was provided and this page may contain affiliate links.

When given the opportunity to try and review PlusCBD Oil, I initially had no idea what this product was about. After doing my first round research, I found that it was a cannabidiol. Upon further research, I found that it is not only safe, but the CBD Oil benefits could actually be great for moms on the go like me.

Hemp-derived CBD is a phytocannabinoid, meaning a plant derived cannabinoid. Hemp is one of the earliest known domesticated plants, cultivated by civilizations for almost 12,000 years. Agricultural hemp comes from the Cannabis Sativa L. plant which grow differently than cannabis containing THC. Because agricultural hemp has little potential to produce THC when pollinated, it does not get you “high”.

So what nutritional benefits does PlusCBD Oil have?

  • Hemp-derived CBD oil works with your body’s internal system to maintain homeostasis despite your environment, making it a great option for moms on-the-go.
  • Hemp contains excellent nutritional value, providing nutrients such as essential fatty acids the human body does not produce naturally and must be consumed through diet.
  • All PlusCBD Oil products are gluten free, non-GMO, 100% vegetarian, and grown without herbicides, pesticides, or fungicides.
  • As CBD witH our innate system, called the Endocannabinoid System, it influences a variety of physiological systems, including pain, memory, energy balance, appetite, and mood.
  • Production of hemp derived CBD Oil is good for the earth. Hemp sequesters CO2 and leaves the soil in better condition than before it was planted.

For me personally, after taking the drops I did notice an increase in energy. I don’t usually get a good nights sleep, so I’m usually very tired towards the middle of the day. It was nice to get that boost of energy. I love how convenient it was to take PLUSCBD OIL in the drop and spray form. Doses can easily be added to your morning smoothie or juice. Perfect for beginner users like myself. I really enjoyed the PlusCBD Oil Balm. With the wonderful scent of peppermint, this balm is a great way to rejuvenate the skin.

20+ Reasons Why You should Be Cooking With Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil

Anyone who knows me, knows that my go-to cooking oils are olive oil and coconut oil. I’ve also experimented with walnut, avocado, and pecan oil. I have been invited by Moms Meet to review Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil. An oil that I had yet to try. Upon research, I surprisingly found out that palm oil is estimated to be in half of our packaged foods. Wow! I had to learn more. Here’s what I found out.

Where Does Palm Oil Come From?

Palm Oil comes from a fruit produced from a special species of palm tree grown in tropical climates around the world. Huge bunches of these fruitlets are handpicked and processed in a similar way used for olive oil production. Palm oil is released when these fruitlets are squeezed.

Sustainable & Environment-Friendly

35% of the world’s palm oil is produced in Malaysia. Malaysia was the first country to produce sustainable oil. They have strengthened its sustainability commitment with its nationwide Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification program. Malaysia strives to bring to light issues in the palm oil industry, including deforestation and workers’ rights. In Malaysia, oil palm is exclusively planted on designated legal agriculture land. 40% of Malaysian oil palm planted lands are tended by family farmers. The productive lifespan of oil palm ranges between 25-30 years, making it more environmentally efficient compared to annual oilseed crops.

10 Reasons to Switch Your Cooking Oil to Malaysian Palm Oil

  • Non GMO
  • Stable at high temperatures.
  • Resistant to oxidation.
  • Retains the flavor of the food.
  • Less oil absorption in food.
  • Balanced fatty acid content.
  • Long shelf life.
  • Nutritionally balanced.
  • 100% trans-fat free.
  • Produces less volatile compounds.

10 Reasons Why Palm Oil is Nutritionally Good For You

  • Cholesterol free.
  • Balanced fatty acid profile.
  • Free of trans fats.
  • Helps raise beneficial HDL-cholesterol.
  • Easily digested and an excellent source of energy.
  • Sufficient source of essential linoleic acid.
  • Neutral effect on blood cholesterol.
  • Antioxidants in palm oil have anti-cancer properties.
  • Rich source of carotenoids.
  • Antioxidants in palm oil shows potential to help prevent strokes.

After learning about all of these amazing benefits of using Malaysian Palm Oil, I was very excited to try it out! My Mom’s Meet blogger kit included a bottle of Malaysian Palm Oil, popcorn, and a beautiful cookbook entitled, Back to Basics.

I was excited to also get a recipe on how to make popcorn the Malaysian way! Because palm oil can stand up to high heat without breaking down into risky aldehydes, it makes it the perfect oil for making popcorn. Palm oil’s smoke is 455 degrees Fahrenheit, while coconut oil begins degrading at 350 degrees and olive oil at 350 degrees. Now who’s ready for some Malaysian-style Popcorn?? Mines was delicious! I’ve included the recipe so you can check it out!

For the best popcorn ever, you’ll need:

A large capacity pot (6 quarts)

3 Tbsp Malaysian sustainable palm oil

1/2 cup popcorn kernels

Seasoning

Directions

1. Add the oil to the pan, along with 3 kernels. Cover and heat over medium high heat until kernels pop. Then remove the pot from heat, remove the popped corn and add the remaining kernels.

2. Cover the pan, give it a shake and let it sit off the heat for 30 seconds to 3 minutes.

3. Put the pot back on the stove over medium-high heat with the lid slightly askew so steam can escape. Give the pot a few shakes. Once popping begins, the corn will pop very quickly.

4. When the popping has slowed down, immediately pour into a large bowl. Toss with your favorite seasonings and serve.

Happy Popping!

5 Ways to Have a Successful Walk in the Park

Spring has finally arrived! To some that means pool parties, picnics and festivals. Well that’s what it means to me too! BUT, it also means being able to do more outside activities. I personally despise working out in a gym. I need the sun hitting my skin, an occasional breeze across my face, and the sight of nature around me. And as cliché as sounds, I really enjoy walks in the park. With a recommendation of taking at least 10,000 steps a day, a scenic park will make making those steps less boring.

1. CHOOSE A PLACE TO WALK

I love that I live in a city that has many beautiful parks that welcome and accommodate people who are out for a stroll. Be sure to choose parks that have a fair amount of foot traffic for safety purposes. I like to choose parks with paths that have various levels of difficulty to optimize my workout.

2. WALKING SHOES

Choosing the proper shoes for you to walk in, is almost as important as walking itself. Walking in improper shoes will cause you more damage. Walking shoes should be comfortable, lightweight, and provide good shock absorption. To prevent blisters, a good walking shoes should also fit your foot.

3. POSITIVE ATTITUDE

Always bring your positive attitude on your walks. Appreciate the beautiful nature that surrounds you. Stop and literally smell the roses or what wildflower is blessing you with its presence. Nature has a way of soothing. Let it do its job. No bad vibes. Period.

4. HYDRATE

You want to start your walk fully hydrated, so drinking a full cup of water before your walk. During your walk, it is recommended that you drink water every 20 minutes that you are walking. Always drink when you’re thirsty. At the end of your walk, replenish with a full cup of water.

5. PACK A SNACK

Moms Meet Review: Veggie Go’s

Being a mother, I’m always on the look out for healthy snacks for my daughter and I that also taste great. I was excited to have the opportunity to try Veggie Go’s , as part of the Moms Meet Blogger Program. As soon as I opened the box, my daughter reached in to explore its contents. Inside was several boxes filled with these delicious snacks.

We sat and tried them all! We both enjoyed the every flavor combinations. Now I must say my 9 year old is quite the foodie, so her loving Veggie Go’s wasn’t really a surprise. If you do have a picky eater, I’m more than sure that they would find one that they would absolutely love too. They taste great!

Each pack contains about one-half cup of fruits and veggies! Nice! Veggie Go’s are also certified organic and non-gmo, contains no added sugar, and is gluten free. They even thought about their packaging, by “using cartons that are fully recyclable and made from recycled paperboard, which is fueled by local wind energy in Denver.”

Veggie Gos is the perfect snack to take along on hiking trips, field trips, and to add school lunches. These are not only good snacks for the kiddies, but they are a fantastic snack for parents as well! Throw them in your bag for an after workout snack. It’s the perfect snack for a mid-day work pick me up. I absolutely love Veggie Go. I keep a few in my purse, so when I get the munchies, I reach for a tasty, healthy snack. It’s the perfect portion size too! When you’re on the go, grab Veggie Go’s!
*I received Veggie’s Go’s complimentary and was compensated for my review. As always all thoughts and opinions are that of my own.

Moms Meet Review:  Arctic Zero Fit Frozen Desserts

Who doesn’t enjoy a couple large scoops of delicious ice cream on a hot summer day? I know I do!! Unfortunately, this sweet treat can’t exactly be enjoyed on a regular basis due to its high calorie count. Boooo. I was recently asked to try out a product that was new to me, Arctic Zero. When the box of ice cream was delivered, I’m pretty sure my mom was way more excited than I was to try all 6 flavors that were sent. You see, just like Arctic Zero founder, Greg Holtman, my mom has diabetes and is very careful about what she intakes, especially when it come to appeasing a sweet tooth. She had previously tried one flavor and was expressed that she was more than satisfied. Thanks to her awesome daughter being a food blogger she had the opportunity to not only try one flavor but 6 flavors. Yasss! Lol!!

Arctic Zero is the pioneer of Fit Frozen Desserts without all the fat and calories. Handcrafted from premium ingredients, Arctic Zero is low glycemic, lactose free, gluten free, and GMO free. It’s the perfect guiltless pleasure whenever your sweet tooth strikes. -Arctic Zero

Now when I read the above statement, I thought this ice cream is free from a LOT of things, it can’t be that tasty. And I honestly didn’t think I would want to buy it again. But I was still curious. So on this beautiful Wednesday afternoon we had an ice cream tasting. And friends let me tell you!! Arctic Zero got it right! This ice cream was surprisingly delicious. It was creamy, lots of flavor, and definitely eat-a-whole-pint-by-yourself worthy. I had the opportunity to try five flavors: Cake Batter, Rocky Road Trip, Peanut Butter Swirl, Cherry Chocolate Chunk, Salted Caramel and Cookie Shake.

While all of them were very tasty, I did have a favorite. Rocky Road Trip! I enjoyed this particular flavor especially just for the simple fact that there were whole marshmallows in it. I LOVE marshmallows!! And there were quite a few in this pint of deliciousness. I’m a fan! I also loved Cherry Chocolate Chuck. It was sooo delightfully creamy! My mom gave it 2 thumbs up and also gave great praise to Cake Batter. She was actually a big fan of all the flavors! Lol!
