How To Achieve Good Gut Health

The last few years, I’ve noticed a slight change in my digestive health. The older I get the more meals end in gas, heartburn, or other inconveniencing gastrointestinal conditions. Upon research, I’ve found several ways to aid in the overall health of my gut.

1. Diet

Take a good look at what you’re eating on a regular basis. Take note to what foods are triggering indigestion. Be sure to add lots of fruits and vegetables to your day to boost antioxidants and prebiotics. Consider eating smaller meals throughout the day to prevent overloading your digestive tract.

2. Take a Walk

After each meal, I try to take a short walk around the block or I walk up and down the stairs a few times. This will help stimulate digestion.

3. Take a Supplement

For the last few weeks, I’ve been taking Kyo-Dophilus Pro+ Synbiotic. Kyo-Dophilus Pro+ Synbiotic contains a community of nine different probiotic strains that help maintain good colon health, relieve occasional digestive discomfort, and restore and balance beneficial bacteria. I love that the tablets are chewable and are conveniently packaged in single serve packs for on the go use. This week I’ve been participating in my city’s restaurant week so I just put a few packs in my car and in my purse, so I wouldn’t forget to take them. I also love that the tablets can be taken with or without food. The tablets come in the flavor berry smoothie which is a pretty accurate description of how they taste. Your body needs 30-60 days to really feel the benefits of regular probiotics so I’ll make sure to add an update at the end of the month.
