Yesterday evening, I had the opportunity to get a preview of the Harbor Lighthouse Cruise. The weather was beautiful and perfect for a cruise down the Toledo waterfront. The cruise gave passengers a unique view down the Maumee leading into breathtaking open waters of Lake Erie.

Not long after entering Lake Erie, you’ll see the Toledo Harbor Lighthouse. The lighthouse marks the entrance to the Toledo Shipping Channel where Lake Erie and Maumee Bay meet. Back in 1897, the increase in shipping to the Port of Toledo caused a need for a new lighthouse. In 1901, construction began on the Toledo Harbor Lighthouse. After a nice cruise out to Lake Erie, the Glass City Pearl headed back to downtown Toledo. It was a wonderful experience. For more information about the Harbor Lighthouse Cruise and other cruises available, visit https://www.jmcruiselines.com/glass-city-pearl.
