Sandy Springs has another addition to their rising culinary scene. Rize Artisan Pizza + Salads will open on this Monday! Grand Opening festivities begin on March 20 with some amazing daily food specials all week. A portion of the sales from the grand opening celebration will be donated to Create Your Dreams. This week they kicked off the celebration with a Family and Friends event. I was excited to be included in this special occasion.
My first experience with Rize left a lasting impression and since then I have been back to the Poncey Highland location several times. The food is awesome and the service is just as fantastic. They never disappoint.
With the opening of their new location, they have introduced a new Pick 2 Lunch Special. Diners have a choice a personal sized pizza or flatbread AND a choice of either soup or salad. All for just $10! Nice! This deal is good MONDAY – FRIDAY, 11 AM – 2 PM ONLY. If you work in the Sandy Springs area, you’re definitely going to want to check it out.
I attended the Friends & Family Lunch Event yesterday and once again was blown away. I brought along fellow blogger friend, Amber of Sippin’ in the Atl, to share the delicious experience. Rize sits on the corner of Roswell Road & Hammond Drive under the brand new residential living apartments, Square One. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and given the instructions on how to order. The hard part was choosing which pizza to get. Every single menu item sounded and is amazing. I personally have had all of them, so it was extra difficult for me to choose. I finally decided on the Garden Pizza and the Pear & Walnut Salad. I also ordered a cup of Sweet Peach Tea. Amber ordered the Waverly, as well as the Pear & Walnut Salad and a cup of Black Berry with Tarragon Soda.
After placing our orders, we sat at the bar where we could see all the action. With their open concept kitchen, diners are able see their pizza being made, from the gentle stretching of the dough, to putting finished product into the hot stone oven.
Shortly after sitting, we were greeted by our waiter. He informed us that while he was our waiter for this visit, any staff member would be glad to help us as they were a family and worked as a unit. Love it! Our drinks came out first. I could tell Amber was enjoying her Black Cherry Tarragon Soda by the mmmms and lip smacking that I was hearing in my left ear as she sipped on her craft beverage. Lol! She’s a fan to say the least. 
Finally we were presented with our pizza and salads. Everything looked amazing!! Not only did it look amazing, it tasted amazing! I could eat the Pear Walnut Salad every day! The smokiness of the bleu cheese brought that salad to a whole other level! I highly suggest that salad! My Garden pizza was sooooo good. I loved the pesto that was on top. This pizza was nothing but layers of flavor! Bravo! Rize, Bravo. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur and this pizza is awesome!
We ended this fantastic lunch with a sweet treat! Yes!! We chose Bourbon Butter Pecan Gelato (I Love Bourbon!) and Strawberry Sorbet. So tasty! Do yourself a favor and visit Rize Artisan Pizza + Salads next time your in the mood for good pizza and excellent service. They’ll be waiting.
