Yayoi Kusama: Fireflies on the Water is now open at the Toledo Museum of Art. I was so excited to get a special preview of the exhibit last week. In this very unique experience, you will be transported into the mind of Yayoi Kusama. “Fireflies on the Water speaks to Kusama’s ongoing investigation into the relationship between ourselves, the space that we occupy and the ungraspable concept of infinity,” Norton-Westbrook said. “TMA’s presentation of Fireflies on the Water will allow our audiences the opportunity to experience Kusama’s unique and singular vision firsthand.”
For 60 seconds, your senses will be challenged through lights, mirrors, and water. It’s definitely the coolest 60 seconds you will experience. The exhibit opened Saturday, December 14, 2019, in Canaday Gallery and was sold out opening weekend. It will run through April 26, 2020. To purchase tickets, visit tickets.toledomuseum.org.
