NYE GIRLS DAY OUT

2016 is fast approaching. While some are preparing for a night out in the town, my friend, Leslie and I took a few girls out for a NYE Girls Day Out. We had a super grand time!

Our first stop was to the Castleberry Hills District to have lunch at The Spinning Pie. If you’ve never been there, I suggest going very soon. Like right now! Their pizza is amazing! I hadn’t been in awhile and couldn’t have been more happy to be chopping on a slice of their pizza. I was yearning for my usual, personal pizza with turkey Italian sausage and turkey pepperoni. It’s so good! Like really, really good! I savored every morsel.

We also ordered a large cheese and mushroom pizza. As you can see the pizza is huge! And the girls are extremely happy it has arrived.

Another pizza showed up at our table. (We love pizza) This one a special request from Leslie.  Pepperoncini, spinach, kalamata olives, sundried tomatoes, feta and mozzarella with a balsamic reduction. No sauce. It was fantastic as usual. Nom nom!

After completely stuffing our faces and a few selfies…

We headed to the train station. It was a beautiful day in Atlanta, so we decided to walk. We stopped along the way to enjoy the sights of downtown. We even discovered a Mac Stewart mural! Which lead to a photo shoot.

Next, we hopped on Marta and headed to Atlantic Station to see the new comedy Daddy’s Home. It starred Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. It was very funny and I enjoyed it. Be sure to check it out!

After the movie, we walked around Atlantic Station and somehow ended up at It’s Sugar. A store with nothing but candy. Yikes! My daughter’s eye got big. I rarely let her have candy but her friends were raiding the candy bins and was making it very difficult for her not to ask. She looked at me with those “please mommy please” eyes. Ughhhhh!! I gave in and told her she could pick out 4 pieces of candy. That’s it! She was estatic! Let’s get out of here..

Sage and I parted ways with our NYE Girls Day Out Crew and headed home to wrap up 2015. We pulled out a puzzle and waited till the clock to strike 12am. We were both struggling as we really wanted to go to sleep. Sage just kept saying we had to stay up so we can say Happy New Year! Fine Sage. Waited and continued putting our puzzle together. As soon as it was midnight, I was in the bed.

So long 2015.

Oh! Hello 2016! You’re here so soon.
