I was first drawn to this local Toledo doughnut food truck by how clever their name was! Holey Toledough! Love it! Upon researching through social media, it was clear that they had the doughnut game in Toledo on lock! People are literally stalking this food truck! If you’re not at this truck when they open, you’re pretty much out of luck. Early bird get the doughnut! So after doing my own stalking, I found on their Facebook page that they were going to be at the Toledo Farmers Market Saturday. So with that, I set my alarm clock. I will not miss it!!
Saturday morning my daughter and I got an early start to our day and made our way downtown to find the Holey Toledough food truck. When we arrived, we immediately spotted the colorful truck. It’s so cute!! We walked up and noticed that there wasn’t a line but there was several groups of people silently devouring little bites of awesomeness. I want one!! Gimme!!
So once it was time for us to order, all the fun doughnuts were sold out. Noooo! I mean who doesn’t was doughnut sprinkles with Fruity Pepples. Fun! But we did get to try the Maple Bacon Doughnut. Yes! Double Yes! So good! It was still warm too! This doughnut was definitely the best doughnut I’ve had to date! I also had the Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut. Still winning!!!
Every Saturday, you can find Holey Toledough’s owner, Chef Chris Ritter , at the Toledo Farmer’s Market handing out these delectable bites of joy. With a new genius flavor every week, the city of Toledo will always have something to look forward to.
A couple Saturday’s later, Sage and I once again had our mind set on getting Toledo’s most awesome donuts. Our early arrival earned us a Oops All Berries and Turtle Doughnut! YES!! So good!!
