I remember being totally against the idea of a Bloody Marys. Why would anybody willingly order a cocktail made with tomato juice and vodka? Silly me. A few years back, while attending the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival, I mentioned to a friend that I have never had a Bloody Mary. She couldn’t believe it. She then proceeded to find me one to try. I was a fan at first sip. Since then I’ve had hundreds of Bloody Marys. Today, for the first time, I made my own Bloody Mary Mix and I must say it’s quite tasty. It’s a fairly easy recipe. It literally takes 10 minutes to make! I used canned stewed tomato instead of tomato juice because I didn’t feel like going to the store. I think the stewed tomatoes it gives the mix some depth though. Try it out and tell me what you think!
