Fried Devil Eggs
These lightly battered and deep fried hard boiled eggs were totally different experience. In the center hide a delicious filling. They were quite amazing. There was a sriracha mayo to balance out all the unique flavors.
Reminiscent of crab cakes, these hand-made lobster cakes are a sure palette pleaser. Chef Brian explained his entire made from scratch process to make this delicious apricot burre blanc…omg it was good! Not too sweet, airy and creamy. Sweet honey sauce on the side for an extra flavor experience.
Buffalo Chicken & Waffles
A brunch favorite with a twist. The chicken tenders having a sweet beginning, with a slight kick of spice on the end. The perfect amount of zesty honey glaze on each bite. The Belgium waffle was light and fluffy. A perfect pair.
Deep Fried French Toast
Classic French Toast fried to perfection, topped with chocolate sauce. Soooo many flavors! It was absolutely delicious!

Atlanta! Who’s ready for Rosé and brunch on Sunday afternoon? I am! This Sunday head to Park Tavern for endless bottles of rosé during their All-Day Rosé Brunchfest. The event is hosted by JEZEBEL Magazine’s 20 Most Eligible Atlantans on Sunday, August 5, 2018.
Brunch enthusiast can expect all things delicious. Menu items include; savory breakfast bowls served with fluffy scrambled eggs and cheese, crispy bacon, tomatoes and avocado; tater tots smothered and covered; toasted bagels served with cream cheese, cured salmon, and capers; a Krispy Kreme station with all the fixings including: whipped cream, strawberries and chocolate; a biscuit station with county ham and sausage; and much more.
You can’t go to a Brunchfest and not have A proper brunch cocktail. Patrons can also enjoy libations such as a selection of rosé, mimosas, Bloody Marys served with fresh cocktail shrimp, craft beers, full bodied wines, signature handcrafted cocktails and more, while enjoying a high energy live music performance by NAKD.
Before the rosé all day festivities begin, yogis are invited to a complimentary Namaste and Rosé All Day yoga class with Westside Yoga’s founder, Amber Barry, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fitness enthusiasts in attendance will receive $10 off a single General Admission or VIP ticket at the door.

I recently came across the Black Bourbon Society on Facebook and immediately wanted to join the group. With a lack of representation of persons of color in the bourbon community, founder Samara Rivers, decided that needed to change and form the Black Bourbon Society. The goal, to “bring African Americans who want to deepen their appreciation for fine whiskeys and bourbons through events, tasting and more.” With a community of 3,000+ bourbon enthusiast, Rivers organizes several bourbon centered events across the US. Each event features a carefully selected high quality bourbon brand that is available for tasting.
This past weekend, Black Bourbon Society was in Atlanta and was held at the Gypsy Kitchen. The afternoon’s featured bourbon was Woodford Reserve. Guest had the opportunity to taste 3 selections from the Woodford Reserve brand. A delicious spread of appetizers and welcome cocktails started the brunch off in a most delicious way.

There were beautiful vibes all around as bourbon enthusiasts sipped on curated cocktails and enjoyed an amazing spread prepared by the Gypsy Kitchen. It was the perfect prelude to the main course. On the menu: Scramble Eggs, Bacon, Chicken Sausage, Pan Con Tomate, Cinnamon Roll, Skirt Steak, Shrimp Cocktail, Mixed Greens, and Brunch Potatoes.
The event ended with a few word from Black Bourbon Society founder, Samara Rivers, expressing her deep gratitude to her guests continued support. It was a beautiful moment sealed with a champagne toast with Korbel.

Yesterday I had an amazing time with my daughter. We started our day at the Renaissance for a Succulent Workshop. I’ve been seeing these cute little plants everywhere and thought this would be a fun class for us to take. Upon arrival, we were greeted and guided through our succulent class.
We first chose a container for it, then a succulent. It was hard to choose a succulent because they were all so cute! After much deliberation, Sage and both chose what was called hens and chicks. We then filled our containers with the soil provided and then add the succulents.
Not only are succulents the cutest addition to any room, it is also very easy to care for. Just water and water again when the soil dries out. So easy and just look how cute it is!
After our succulent workshop, we headed over to Brim House to check out their new brunch menu. Y’all know I’m a super fan of Brim House! My daughter had been dying to eat here, so I decided today was a good day to do so. She thought Brim House was quite fancy. And it definitely is! I was pretty excited about this brunch menu. I already knew it was going to be amazing.
It was pretty hard to choose, everything on the menu sounded so delicious! I finally decided on the Seafood Scramble. Sage ordered the Chicken and Sweet Corn Waffles. Let me just tell you, we ate every single morsel on these plates. I couldn’t get over how delicious both dishes were. I mean CHEF AARON LAWSON must be in the kitchen just sprinkling magic dust all over the place. Because those Sweet Corn Waffles were quite magical.
That Seafood Scramble was perfectly seasoned. Magical. Brunch was a delicious success. Even more successful than I had expected. I will return to experience the rest of the brunch menu and to partake in their bottomless mimosa and bar when I don’t have the Mini Me with me.

I love to cook with olive oil. In fact, I use it every day. It’s pretty much a staple in my pantry. Recently some concerns have been raised about the authenticity of olive oil here in the US. That’s right, FAKE EVOO!! This happens when olive oil is extracted from one country and then shipped to another, then is blended with oil from other places before being packaged. Unfortunately, some olive oils are severely diluted with other low grade oils. Even worse blended with outdated olive oil. Yuck.

Today, I used Zucchi’s 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil in my recipe. Zucchi is a 200 year old company that has been managed by seven generations of the Zucchi family. Zucchi’ point of difference is their taste, quality, and traceability (with QR code) and the Italian Art of Blending. I loved the flavor profiles of all the varieties I received. AMAZING!! I could totally see myself just dipping some freshly baked bread into a bowl of this awesomeness. It really is that good. I thought any one of these varieties would be perfect for this dish. Sunday afternoon vibes are best enjoyed with a delicious brunch with a patio situation and bottomless mimosas. That’s exactly what I experienced today as Toast Brunch Series relaunched their event with an 5 course menu tasting at Big Sky Buckhead. The Chef driven menu was beautifuly curated by Executive Chef Luis Damian. He proudly shared his talents to a group Atlanta’s most influential bloggers and presented us an afternoon of little brunch awesomeness. With an empty stomach and open palette, we welcomed every drool-worthy course.

Who doesn’t love a day of relaxation and good food? I’m definitely a fan! Slightly stressful for the last few weeks, I was in dire need of a little pampering. Well yesterday my day had came. Yes!! I was off to Alpharetta! Awesome Alpharetta! That’s what they say right? Well yesterday on my first time back to the Georgia city in several years, I could definitely see it’s transformation. Starting with one of it largest developments, Avalon. As I walked through the area on my way to my destination, I noticed all the great shopping and dining options. Pretty impressive! Pretty awesome you might even say.
Today’s trip to Alpharetta was to meet a few amazing women of the Atlanta Food Bloggers’ Society for a day of pampering and fab eats. Our day started at L’Occitane for a morning filled with massages, facials, and mimosas! The soundtrack to set the mood was that of a woman playing a harp. Yes please! I. AM. HERE.FOR. IT.
I started my spa day with an amazing hand massage. After washing my hand with the Verbena Cleansing Hand Wash, I followed it with the Verbena Body Salt Scrub to get all that dead winter skin off. Bye-bye! It was then followed by the Almond Shower Oil. It smelled amazing!! At this point my hands was pretty on point! But then the L’Occitane hand massage specialist came in with her incredible hands and gave me a much needed massage. She used their Shea Butter Hand Cream to lock in all that moisture. Yasssss. So apparently this hand cream is the business. One is sold every three seconds. Which means by the time I’m finsh writing the rough draft of this post, they would have sold 1,200 tubes of the tube of this awesomeness. Wow!! If your curious that’s $33,600 in one hour!! Double WOW!!
Next station was to get a little facial rejuvenation from Kyle. I previously had met Kyle at the Buckhead location. He’s really great and very knowledgeable of all the prouducts. I knew I was in good hands. First he spritzed the air with the lovely scent of lavender. Mmmmmm. Then he proceeded to cleanse, tone, and moisturize my face, leaving nice and vibrant. Thank you Kyle!

South Main Kitchen was our next stop on this oh so lovely day! Located in the heart of the Alpharetta historic district, South Main is serving up an ingredient driven menu, bringing a unique dining experience to the ever so growing community. The restaurant is beautiful! From its rustic interior to the open kitchen, you instantly feel welcomed as you walk through the door.
This salad was seriously good. It was one of my favorites of the brunch. Lot of flavor and crunch! I loved the bit of sweetness you get from the cranberries. Very nice.
Another great salad. Beautifuly made with fresh ingredients. I loved the pumpkin seeds and feta in the salad.
I loved this dish as well. Gnocchi done right! Perfectly seasoned with a bit of crunch over some lovely wild mushrooms. Tasty!
Delicious! I’ve recently become a major fan of brussel sprouts and have had some pretty amazing ones since my new found love of these edible buds. These brussel sprouts have been added to the list of the forth coming list of top 5 Brussel Sprout Dishes To Eat In Atlanta. (I just made that up.) Even so, It’s going on the list!!
I really appreciated the creativity that went into this dish. It was somewhat unexpected that these ingredients went so well together. If you’re looking for something different, this is your dish.
Who doesn’t love a biscuit??? I LOVE biscuits! My homemade biscuits are pretty amazing! I can be somewhat of snob when it comes to this delicious baked treat. This biscuit, I can honestly say, was a really good biscuit. Paired with the sausage gravy and you have a good ole southern experience!
This omelette was very tasty! We even got a surprise appearance from a cauliflower. Cauliflower just might be my new favorite addition to an omelette!
BEST DAY EVER!!! I really enjoyed my time in Alpharetta. The pampering at L’Occitane and delicious brunch at South Main Kitchen was exactly what I needed! I was so glad that I was able to share the day with my homies at the Atlanta Food Bloggers’ Society. Good times!!
