FÚDO NOW OPEN FOR LUNCH AND DINNER IN CHAMBLEE, GA

Fúdo, which means “food with no limits,” is now officially open in Chamblee, GA. Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, the new dining concept offers artfully presented sushi and sharable plate selections of authentic Japanese cuisine featuring the highest quality and freshest ingredients.

From John Lee and Grace Cho, the husband and wife team and restauranteurs behind Ichiban Steak and Sushi in Alpharetta, the new wallet-friendly locale boasts a modern industrial yet warm atmosphere with an expansive, interactive sushi bar; a back-lit bar serving creative cocktails, craft beer, wine and sake; ample seating; and a pet-friendly, outdoor patio with retractable windows.

“We designed the restaurant to be open and interactive with an emphasis on great service and high quality, affordable cuisine. While it’s a big space that features a modern design and plenty of seating, it maintains an intimate and approachable feel. We’re extremely grateful for the positive support we’ve already received from the community,” says Fúdo co-founder John Lee.

KetoFi Burger

a protein-packed burger featuring two all-natural Angus beef patties topped with bacon, a fried egg, drizzled with mustard and served green style (wrapped in fresh, crisp lettuce).

This burger was perfectly seasoned and very tasty. I personally was not a fan of the lettuce, but then again I’m not a fan of lettuce. I just took it off. I did, however, enjoy the Angus beef patties, bacon, and a fried egg on top. It was like an elevated breakfast situation. The fries were great as well!

Vegan Beyond Burger

a plant-based burger that looks, cooks and satisfies like traditional beef. Featuring a Beyond Burger Patty, topped with pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, and American cheese. You can also enjoy it vegan style without mayonnaise and cheese.

I’ve been a fan of Beyond Meat products for quite some time, so I was very excited to see it as one of BurgerFi’s Build a Better You Resolution-Friendly menu options. If you’re celebrating Veganuary this month definitely stop BurgerFi and pick up this delicious vegan burger.

More resolution-friendly options include:

Grilled Chicken Sandwich: a free-range, all-natural chicken breast, topped with lettuce, tomato and drizzled with a honey mustard BBQ sauce.

Green Style Burgers: drop the bun and go green, enjoy any burger wrapped in fresh, crisp lettuce.

A Little Treat

I couldn’t leave without indulging in a frozen treat! It was adorned with brownies, chocolate sprinkles, and chocolate sauce, topped with whipped cream. You gotta have whipped cream on top!

There is one thing about Atlanta that’s true, brunch on the weekend is a serious thing. Fried Devil Eggs

These lightly battered and deep fried hard boiled eggs were totally different experience. In the center hide a delicious filling. They were quite amazing. There was a sriracha mayo to balance out all the unique flavors.

Lobster Sliders

Reminiscent of crab cakes, these hand-made lobster cakes are a sure palette pleaser. Chef Brian explained his entire made from scratch process to make this delicious apricot burre blanc…omg it was good! Not too sweet, airy and creamy. Sweet honey sauce on the side for an extra flavor experience.

Buffalo Chicken & Waffles

A brunch favorite with a twist. The chicken tenders having a sweet beginning, with a slight kick of spice on the end. The perfect amount of zesty honey glaze on each bite. The Belgium waffle was light and fluffy. A perfect pair.

Deep Fried French Toast

Classic French Toast fried to perfection, topped with chocolate sauce. Soooo many flavors! It was absolutely delicious!

I Had My First 100 Layer Donut and Fell in Love with Five Daughters Bakery

Five Daughters Bakery recently opened their new location in Ponce City Market. I’ve been seeing the Instagram post about how delicious they were. Well I finally got to taste for myself!

They are known for their 100 layer donut, their version of a cronut. Yummm!! It takes them 3 days to craft this croissant donut hybrid, but well worth the time. When I took a look at the many delicious choices, the one that was screaming for my to take it home with me was the Lime Meringue. It was so cute with its toasted meringue, dusted with lime zest. Gimme! After paying and have a photo shoot, it was time to taste this 100 layers of deliciousness. Yummmmmm.

That first bite was amazing! The second bite was even more amazing. I loved the lightness of the donut. I loved that the lime custard inside was not too sweet. The meringue on top was perfect! I absolutely loved everything single bite of this donut. Bravo. Five Daughters Bakery.Bravo.

I Ate 32 Wings Today…Tales of a Hungry Girl in Atlanta

Today was the 3rd Annual Springer Mountain Farms Southern Wing Showdown. If you have a love for wings, this was the place to be. If you have a love for adventurous flavors, this was the place to be. Basically you should have been there!

The sold out event featured 32 southern chefs, each putting their take on the all mighty chicken wing. After attendees tasted all of the wings, they then voted on their favorite.

There were soooo many amazing wings! Just when you thought you definitely tasted your favorite, the next chef blows your mind with another delicious wing! I personally had several favorites.

My most favorite was from Funk Seoul Brother with their Hot Honey Butter Korean Fried Chicken with Smoked Cashews and Mu Radish Bourbon Pickles. Oh what a tasty bite that was!!

The winner of the showdown was Canoe’s Chef Matthew Basford with his Sichuan Spiced Wing with Gochujang Honey Mustard. That was a tasty wing too!! Congrats Chef!!

Well I left a very happy and full girl! Can’t wait till next year!!
